This world has been described as the world of the ten thousand things. It’s called the ten thousand things because there are approximately ten thousand things that can distract and unbalance you. But if you want to get past this whole business of being unbalanced by the ten thousand things, there’s only one way. You have to find your footing. If you find your footing then you find natural balance. What is natural balance? When you’re not awkwardly leaning forwards or backwards or twisting sideways this way or that way, then that’s called natural balance. It has also been called coming into the natural ease.
