The idea of enlightenment whether in the form of the holy grail or liberation, has been hanging like the hangman’s noose around man’s neck for centuries. Depending on who you ask, it might mean this or it might mean that. But if your enlightenment, whatever that may be, does not set you free and enliven your experience and appreciation of present existence in an immediate and unqualified way, then you must ask what kind of an enlightenment it is? And whether it is worth having?
