The human problem

The problem of the human being is not a physical problem. And therefore, it cannot be solved through physical solutions. One can create better physical circumstances for living through discoveries in the physical sciences so that the human being will live longer and more comfortably. And one can create more and more entertainments of different kinds to divert the mind so that people can get along more easily. However through all this the underlying problem of the human being will remain exactly as it is. None of this will touch the root. That is because at its root the problem of the human being is an existential one. It cannot be resolved as a group. It can only be resolved by the individual for him or herself.
